Benefits
Benefits
MAX resistance
With zero residual stress, the rebars are corrosion resistant. Its characteristic high ductility ensures they have high fatigue resistance and are more seismic-resistant.
MAX load-bearing
A fully automated manufacturing process ensures that the load-bearing capacity is uniform and high across the entire length of the bar.
MAX savings
Constructions need steel due to the strength of 550MAX TMT bars.
MAX advantage
The components of 550MAX are well within the BIS specified limits for max advantage, max ductility and max strength.
MAX pluses
550MAX comes with a range of pluses namely: YS - plus UTS/YS ratio - plus Percentage elongation - plus
01 MAX bond
With scientifically designed ribs, the bonding strength increases almost double the BIS specified standards.
Specifications
The BEEKAY Turbo 550MAX is made to deliver one goal -- an unparalleled MAXIMUM quality product. This goal is fuelled by the 50-year old legacy of the brand. The perfect composition and modern infrastructure create a product that can be used for any concrete superstructure ranging from bridges, flyovers, dams, power plants, etc.
With full compliance to IS:1786, 500MAX delivers itself as a rebar with yield stress values higher than 550 N/mm2 and tensile strength values higher than 585 N/mm2. A higher elongation value of 13% (against BIS standard of 10%) offers 30% more ductility thereby making constructions safer.
The rebars are available in varying sizes of 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 16 m, 20 mm and 25 mm. Besides, custom-sized rebars are also available at our advanced manufacturing facilities across the country.

Our Process
What happens when experience meets modern technology? Success.
The hot rolled bars are rapidly quenched by a special water gush spray system. This hardens the surface of the bar to a depth optimized for each section through the formation of a martensitic rim. The core still remains hot and austenitic.
When the bars are released from the quenching box, the core still remains hot compared to the surface. Heat flows from the core to the surface causing tempering of the outer martensitic layer into a structure called tempered martensite. The core remains austenitic at this stage.
This takes place on the automatic cooling bed where the austenitic core is transformed into a ductile ferrite-pearlite structure. Thus, the final structure consists of an optimum combination of a strong outer layer (tempered martensite) with a ductile core (ferrite-pearlite). This gives BEEKAY Turbo TMT 550MAX bars their unique combination of higher strength and ductility.
